Rob Zombie to Release Album Soundtrack to Halloween 2
New and old music from Motorhead, MC5, Rod Stewart, John 5 and more...
Rob Zombie's Halloween II hits theaters on August 29th, and will be preceded by Halloween II: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on August 25th.
The soundtrack was co-produced by Rob Zombie and includes tracks by Motorhead, The Moody Blues, Scream (pre-Dave Grohl), Rod Stewart, the MC5 and Foghat, as well as new music by psychobilly band Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures, John 5 and a cover of "Love Hurts" by Nan Vernon (who covered "Mr. Sandman" on the last Halloween soundtrack).
Captain Clegg leader Jesse Dayton has played with Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Willie Nelson, and was part of the duo Banjo & Sullivan that performed in The Devil's Rejects. Rob Zombie Presents Captain Clegg And The Night Creatures will hit stores on August 28th.

Nominations for the 51st ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS were announced this morning, with several FANGORIA MUSICK favorites revealed as contenders.
Rob Zombie picked up a "Best Hard Rock Performance" nom for "Lords of Salem" from last years "Zombie Live" set; while the soundtrack for Tim Burton's SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET picked up a nom for best complilation soundtrack, joining THE DARK KNIGHT which is up for best original score. Slipknot picked up their 7th nomination for "Psychosocial" off of their recent self-titled release, joining Roadrunner labelmates Dragonforce, along with Metallica (no Jethro Tull this year?), Judas Priest, and Ministry in the running for "Best Metal Performance".
The awards show will be held on February 8, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

ROB ZOMBIE Completes Work On WHITE ZOMBIE Box Set. According to his
MySpace Rob Zombie has completed work on the long-delayed WHITE ZOMBIE box set. He writes, "Well, I am now holding the finished newly master WHITE ZOMBIE box set in my hands. Yes, it is done! A long time coming but it is here. I'm not sure what the release day is yet, but it shouldn't be much longer. I'm pretty you'll be getting under your Christmas tree. All I can say is boy the early shit is whacked. I haven't heard some of these songs in over twenty years. I don't know what the hell we were thinking. Everything is including on this set. Over 4 and 1/2 hours of music plus tons of never before seen videos. Five discs in all."

ROB ZOMBIE: 'Big Tour News' To Be Announced Monday - Feb. 20, 2010
Rob Zombie has posted the following message on his official Twitter profile:
"Big tour news coming on Monday morning! It's a tour match-up that you've asking me about for years. HMMMMMMMM?"
Rob Zombie's track-by-track breakdown of his fourth solo album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2", can be found on MSN's metal music section Headbang.
Putting the album in context, writer Phil Freeman sums up "Hellbilly 2" as "the sound of a hardened road band (guitarist John 5, bassist Piggy D. and drummer Tommy Clufetos) cranking through amped-up, groove-centered metal in a room together." The writer continues, "I was so surprised and impressed by the record, I decided to get Zombie on the phone and ask him about it."
Rob Zombie recently shot a video for the track "What?" from "Hellbilly Deluxe 2". The clip is expected to make its online debut in the coming weeks.
"Hellbilly Deluxe 2" debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard album chart on February 10, selling 49,000 copies in its first week of release. That total is less than 50 percent of the number of copies that his previous effort, "Educated Horses", sold in its first week back in April 2006, when it moved 107,000 copies to land at No. 5 on the chart.
Zombie was originally supposed to issue the album last November through his longtime label, Geffen Records, but delayed its arrival to February 2 after abruptly leaving to sign with the Roadrunner label. He admitted to The Pulse of Radio that he was a little unsure at first whether that was the right thing to do. "Well, I mean, it was weird because at first you think like, well, you know, you're on Geffen, do you want to make the switch, should you just change next time on the next record, you know, just ride out what you started," he said. "I struggled with it but I thought, you know, my gut is telling me this is the thing to do because I have a feeling if I put it out in November, the label's not gonna support it, and by December the record will be dead. And I just said, you know, screw it. Whatever the repercussions, let's just do it."
Zombie and KORN will co-headline this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, scheduled to kick off on July 10 in San Bernardino, California.
Zombie will also appear at the fourth annual Rock On The Range festival alongside GODSMACK and dozens of others on May 22 and May 23 at Columbus Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
His fourth feature as a director, "Halloween II", arrived in theatres last August, with a director's cut issued on DVD and Blu-ray in December. He also recently directed an episode of the CBS-TV series "CSI: Miami" that will air March 1.

Rob Zombie, whose Hellbilly Deluxe 2 just debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Chart at #8 last week, is nominated in the “Best Live Band Category.” Zombie will also close out the award show with what will be a “must see” performance.
Slipknot and Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor is nominated in the “Best Vocalist” category. Stone Sour are currently hard at work in Nashville on their third album for Roadrunner, which is being produced by Nick Raskulinecz.
Also, Megadeth garner two nominations. The critically acclaimed latest album ENDGAME is nominated in the “Album of the Year” category. Frontman Dave Mustaine, who was the recipient of the inaugural Golden God Award at last year’s ceremony, is also nominated in the “Best Guitarist” category. Mustaine is also confirmed to present the “Most Metal Athlete” Award at the event.
Winners will be determined by public online voting at www.revolvermag/goldengods. Voting is open until March 30, with winners being announced live at the 2010 Golden Gods Awards Show at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on April 8. The show will be broadcast on VH1 Classic on May 22.

I am sorry to say that GODADDY, who hosts our forums, took away features from our hosting when we switched to a monthly plan without notifying us. Due to lack of funds during this donation fund raiser we had been forced to pay $6.95 monthly fee for hosting. Apparantly when resorting to a month to month plan you lose the restoration feature. We have been informed that we can not RESTORE our forums unless we pay $150.00. I refuse to do so. I am working on a new forums for us to come back to after the Thanksgiving holiday. Im so sorry! Its been almost five years worth of information down the tubes.

Rob Zombie's fourth solo studio album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool", has been pushed back to " an undetermined 2010 date" from the previously announced November 17 (via Geffen Records). No reason was given for the delay.
Prior to the decision to move the release date back to 2010, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2" was supposed to contain the following track listing:

For the first time since 2007, Rob Zombie [ tickets ] will embark on a headlining tour, this time in support of his forthcoming solo set, "The Hellbilly Deluxe 2."
The Grammy-nominated rocker will hit the road beginning Oct. 29 in Phoenix, followed by club and theater shows in 19 cities. The outing works its way from the West Coast to the East, wrapping up Dec. 5 in Washington, DC. A special Halloween (10/31) performance in Hollywood is also on the books. Details are shown to your right.

Rob Zombie's animated feature The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is receiving a limited theatrical release starting tomorrow, and it will be officially coming home to DVD and Blu-ray on September 22nd. To celebrate, we've scored another clip for you guys, this time introducing you to the well endowed Suzie X, voiced by Sheri Moon Zombie.
The Haunted World of El Superbeasto is the twisted tale of El Superbeasto (voiced by Tom Papa), a former world-class masked wrestler with super-human strength who now finds himself in the very ordinary capacity as producer/director/star of BeastoWorld Enterprises. But when he can, Beasto spends time fighting evil along with his super-sexy sister, Suzi X (Sheri Moon Zombie), in the spooky Monsterland. Our hefty hero faces his biggest battle when he struggles to stop the unholy marriage of foul-mouthed stripper Velvet Von Black (Rosario Dawson) and the diabolical Dr. Satan (Paul Giamatti). HOLLYWOOD - (September 14, 2009) – The Hellbilly Returns! The Master of monster mayhem Rob Zombie will be destroying a city near you beginning this October 29th on The HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 TOUR. Not since 1998’s super smash triple platinum HELLBILLY DELUXE has Zombie hit the road under that moniker. So get ready to scream!
This will be Zombie's first headline tour since 2007 and will have other ghoulish delights in tow including openers Nekromantix and Captain Clegg & the Night Creatures last seen rocking Haddonfield and Michael Myers in Zombie’s new film HALLOWEEN 2. The tour will usher in Zombie's forthcoming album HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 – Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool (Geffen), a companion to 1998 original.
The tour will blasts off with Phoenix, AZ on October 29th, Las Vegas, NV on the 30th, and a very special Halloween event on the 31st in Hollywood, CA hosted by Uncle Seymour Coffins also seen recently in HALLOWEEN 2. With its theatrical release fast approaching, "H2: Halloween 2" celebrated its Los Angeles premiere on Monday, August 24. Held at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, the special screening event for the 2007's "Halloween" sequel saw the attendance of the horror film's cast ensemble and crew.
Embracing the bloodfest tone of the movie, Scout Taylor-Compton, who portrays lead character Laurie Strode, and Brea Grant, who plays Laurie's friend Mya Rockwell, donned red mini dress to the premiere. Meanwhile, Michael Myers' depicter Tyler Mane went casual with buttoned-up white shirt and a pair of jeans.
Director Rob Zombie and his wife Sheri Moon Zombie, who takes on Deborah Myers character in the movie, joined the threesome at the special event. Other cast members, including Danielle Harris, Malcolm McDowell, Chase Wright Vanek, Daniel Roebuck, Chris Hardwick and Margot Kidder, and producer Malek Akkad were also present.
Also making an appearance at the red carpet were some celebrity guests. Kristina Klebe, the actress who starred as Lynda in the 1997 film, and "Damages" actor Michael Nouri were seen coming to the special screening in addition to other actresses such as Shar Jackson, Amanda Plummer, America Olivo, Phoebe Price and Sara Rue.
"H2: Halloween 2" centers on the aftermath of Michael Myers' murderous rampage through the eyes of the sister he hunted. Unleashing a new trail of terror, the serial slasher will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past and will continue his murdering 'Halloween' rampage until he gets his baby sister, Laurie Strode, all to himself. Rob and Sheri Moon Zombie stopped by to promote “Halloween 2,” and Howard asked if Sheri's nude scene in “House of 1000 Corpses” was on MrSkin.com. Sheri was distressed: "Oh god...[that's] just demented." Howard wondered if Sheri, who doesn't want kids, ever talked with Beth O about it, and Sheri said she had: "Yeah, we do...she doesn't want kids." Rob laughed: "Kids are horrible."
Howard asked why Rob asked Sheri to marry him when he knew he didn't want a family, so Rob joked: "I don't know." Sheri explained: "I think he probably regrets it...you know what happened? Some of my girlfriends started getting pregnant and I didn't want kids but I wanted that commitment." Sheri said she was actually the most insistent about not starting a family: "He would have kids if I wanted to."

A caller wondered who Rob liked better: “The Munsters” or “The Addams Family.” Rob picked “The Munsters,” and Sheri agreed: "Herman Munster is just to die for." Rob said he'd love to see Brad Garrett as Herman in a Munsters movie: "We saw him open for Sinatra and he did Herman Munster and he was hilarious." Sheri confirmed the story, saying it was right before Sinatra died.
Howard asked why Rob made “Halloween 2” when he'd previously insisted he wouldn't make a sequel to his original “Halloween,” so Rob explained that he’d heard the remake's sequel was going straight-to-video and decided it wouldn't do justice to his previous work, and added: "There is enough nudity to keep Mr. Skin happy."

6/28/09 Rob Zombie to Unleash El Superbeasto Sept. 22, 2009 .
Rob Zombie has revealed via his Myspace that his long awaited creation ‘Rob Zombie Presents: The Haunted World of El Superbeasto’ will arriving on DVD September 22 from Anchor Bay Entertainment. El Superbeasto is the 2-D animated comedy which is based on the Spookshow International comic book “The Haunted World of El Superbeasto” created by Rob Zombie.
Zombie also new image from the film that shows El Superbeasto hitting classic horror icon Michael Myers from the Halloween franchise. You can check out that image below.
“The Haunted World of El Superbeasto” features the voices of Paul Giamatti, Tom Papa, Sheri Moon Zombie, Brian Posehn, Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, Danny Trejo, Geoffrey Lewis and Tom Kenny. The film follows the exploits of a washed-up Mexican wrestler, El Superbeasto, in the mythic world of Monsterland.

The "fan"tom jam wrap party has been officially set for 4/17. Maximum capacity for the bar is 100 so space is limited. There will be entertainment and H2 prizes. Beer and wine will be available for a nominal fee as well as food. The location will be the hwy 142 bar & grill in Newborn, GA and will be closed to the public for this private party. This is the site of the exterior Rabbit in Red and michael killed two people on this set so its a hell of a place to be for a Halloween fan. I will need RSVP's from those planning to attend. Be aware, space will fill up quickly so lock in your spot now. There is no cover and it should be a blast! Come hang with the black bunny crew and many, many other Zombie/Halloween fans alike. We here at SMZ.Org hope this hint is a plot teaser for what is to come this August 2009."Haddonfield's Got a Helluva Band" was dropped on Rob Zombie's official blog. You might recall the report in which Rob Zombie revealed a Halloween party flyer touting a fictional band in the upcoming Halloween 2 called Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures. Today, Zombie announced Jesse Dayton, the man behind Banjo & Sullivan from The Devil's Rejects is the frontman of Captain Clegg which is "a local Haddonfiled shit-kicker group. Jesse has recorded an entire album of tunes as Captain Clegg and they f**king rock."

Hey Skullz as we have reported here in our Quick Bits of News back in November that Rob Zombie picked up a "Best Hard Rock Performance" nom for "Lords of Salem" from last years "Zombie Live" set.
The awards show will be held on February 8, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Please keep a look out in our Gallery for Photos from the Red Carpet.
The Pre-telecast awards begin at 4 pm ET/ 1 pm PT on February 8th, 2009. A link to the Pre-Telecast can be found here. Please watch and if you get some screen caps please send them in to our gallery!!!

HALLOWEEN 2 - NOT A RUMOR!
12.17.08 ROB ZOMBIE AGREES TO SEQUEL OF HALLOWEEN .
ITS TRUE!!!! ROB ZOMBIE'S HALLOWEEN 2
Rumors have been going around for a while and finally confirmation from Zombie himself on his blog on Dec. 16th.
Dimension Films and Rob Zombie are teaming up again for another installment of his reboot of the Halloween series.
Zombie will write and direct H2, the sequel to his 2007 remake. Production will begin in March and the film is scheduled for release in October 2009.
H2 will continue where Halloween 2007 left off, following the aftermath of Michael Myers' near-death experience after he went on a killing spree with his estranged sister as its prime target.
Instead of following the story John Carpenter, the Halloween series' original creator, came up with, Zombie made the series his own and treated Myers as a clinical psychopath versus an outright evildoer.
The film grossed $60 million domestically in 2007.
When originally asked to do a sequel, Zombie said no, but has since changed his mind:
'I was so burned out. (But) I took a long break, made a record and I got excited again,' Zombie said. 'Now, we'll be hauling ass, and that's the problem making a movie called Halloween: If you come out Nov. 1 or after, nobody cares. If it was called anything else, I'd be fine.'
Malek Akkad, son of Moustapha Akkad, who was the producer for the 1978 Halloween, will produce with Spectacle Entertainment Andy Gould.

One bad mother f**ker prowled San Diego's traffic-riddled streets this morning. That's right, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Rob Zombie's mystery movie due in theaters in August of 2009. The film is in such an early stage of development it couldn't be previewed at Comic-Con this year. Still, distributor Dimension Films wisely reminded attendees T-Rex is coming with this conspicuous bit of advertising.

Classic films are the theme of the Summer and we are currently on Week 3 of his weekly postings. So far here is the list for the movies for weeks 1 , 2 and 3.

FINALLY ~ Zombie recently confirmed last week that his next
live-action feature film will be called "Tyrannosaurus Rex". Rumors claim the movie is a biker flick and not about dinosaurs, the film is set for release on August 28, 2009. It will follow his hit 2007 remake of the horror classic "Halloween" and his upcoming animated film, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto" both movie due to release this year.

RZ's UNRATED DIRECTOR'S CUT HALLOWEEN RELEASES ON DVD
12.06.07 Rob Zombie's DVD of his recent hit remake of "Halloween" is scheduled for release on December 18. Zombie said the package (cover artwork) will contain his "unrated" longer cut of the movie, loads of deleted scenes, documentaries and other bonus features. One thing it will not include, however, is the "workprint" version of the movie that leaked online prior to its theatrical release. Zombie told Bloody-Disgusting.com, "I don't know what this bullshit workprint is. Something got online which I never saw...the version from the day that someone decided to steal the movie and put it online is one of the 300 versions we were cutting. So I don't know what that is, but the one on the unrated DVD is not that."
Zombie also confirmed that recent rumors about him directing a remake of Eighties horror film "C.H.U.D." were "100% false," and that his "adult" cartoon, "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto", will be completed in February when he finishes his current tour with OZZY OSBOURNE.
Zombie has not announced what his next live-action feature will be, although he has said it will "not be a horror film."
